I recently got a new phone within android and my fit bit Alta won't connect to my new one and obviously won't sync

@Mickylie, for example, what kind of phone, what operating system & version, Android app version, how did you connect your tracker to your phone, etc.?

It's a Samsung Galaxy s7, not sure on app version. I tried updating the app but it wouldn't update cuz my fitbit wasn't connected. Typically just connected via Bluetooth, and it did when I first switched phones but wouldn't receive text notifications even when it was connected. I hadn't connected my phone and fitbit in awhile before I tried today.
