No notification on Versa when Fitbit app is closed

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a Fitbit versa paired (and synced) with my Huawei P20 Pro (running Android 8.1), but I receive notification (calls and messages) on my Fitbit device only when Fitbit app runs in background. Once I kill it from "Recent apps" (using Home button and then Kill all applications that are active), no notification is forwarded to Versa.

I know that Huawei P20 Pro doesn't appear as one of the supported devices, but I guess there might be an workaround to fix this issue. It seems that Fitbit notification service is killed when Fitbit application is removed from the "Recent apps" list (basically, when the Fitbit app gets killed).

Thank you in advance for your answer(s)!

Welcome to the Forums @AndreiTz.

Thanks for bringing this up.

It is very possible that it is related to the fact that the P20 Pro is not on the supported devices list. If that is the root of the issue, there is not much that can be done.

Having said that we could try to troubleshoot the situation. Let's try these steps:

  • Check that the notifications are turned on in your Versa. You can do this by press and holding the button on the left and then swiping left.
  • If they are on, let's try to turn them off and set notifications up again.

Let's see how that goes.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
