No text or phone notifications on android

I have recently changed over from IPhone to oppo. The IPhone was always sending notifications to my watch for both phone calls and texts. Now that I'm with android the app asks for permissions to get notifications but after a tick allow the screen crashes and goes back to the home screen of the app. The sync feature seems to work fine for my steps. But the notifications aren't working.  If I miss a call I do get a notification to say I missed a call but that's all. Any idea when there will be a new update to the app to fix this issue

The new update for android has fixed most of the problems. My watch now receives texts and phone calls. Still can’t respond but I’m not too worried about that One.

I've just changed over from IPhone to android and have noticed the problem with the app. When I go into the notifications and allow it the page crashes and takes me back to the home page as such. Everything else syncs fine just not the messages or calls to the watch. I believe lots of people are having this issue since the new update. Hopefully Fitbit will fix this issue sooner then later.

A couple of thoughts I have @Southie

Remove the Fitbit app and install a fresh copy

Or

Clear the Fitbits app data.
