I changed my phone and now have Samsung A40. Fitbir is sync'd with phone but not receiving text or call notifications. Anyone help?

Thanks for bringing this up and sharing the model of the phone that you are using.
It is possible that this is happening because the A40 is not part of the supported devices list. This means that the app has not been fully optimized to work with that phone.
As long as it fulfills the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, there is a possibility that it can work but we cannot guarantee it. Some users of unsupported devices have mentioned that following these steps helps for the notifications.

My husband and I have just upgraded our phones to the Samsung A40 and we are both experiencing the same issue with our Fitbits not receiving notifications. Are there any plans to develop the app to support this device?

Congratulations to both of you on your new phones. Thank you for taking the time to share that notifications are not working.
At this time we do not have any details on plans to add the A40 to the supported devices list but perhaps you could post about it in our Feature Suggestions board. That way other users that would like to see it added can support the idea by commenting on it or voting for it.
