I have a Charge 5 purchased in December of 2021. My previous phone was the Pixel 3A XL. I upgraded to the Pixel 6 last month and haven't been able to get text notifications.
Things I have tried:
- Rebooting device
- Turning off my phone's Bluetooth and rebooting both phone and watch
- Uninstalling, rebooting, reinstalling
- Disconnecting and reconnecting
I have done all these things in multiple combinations, and multiple times over several weeks. I have followed the instructions for each answered response about text notifications not coming through that I have read, which are many, and have managed to get my phone call notifications, but not the texts. One help answer I found, but cannot find again, (it was on a different site) suggested factory resetting the watch. I do not want to try this alone.
I would like to go through the steps with a moderator standing by so we can resolve this issue.
Thank you for reading this. 🙂

Hi @Marchesa_Kate - changing phones can be a bit of an issue, possibly due to different phone default settings.. Some useful tips in case you missed one.
- Make sure that the old phone or any other Bluetooth device is off.
- Logout of the Fitbit App clear the storage cache and force stop it
- Restart both watch and phone and ensure they are syncing.
- In the Fitbit App, click profile photo, device photo and make sure that the Notifications and App notifications are correctly set on the new phone.
- Make sure the watch has not slipped into Sleep or Do not disturb mode.

I can't believe I forgot to clear the cache. That worked. Thank you so much.
