Not receiving Gmail notifications with Moto G7

I just changed from Moto G6 to G7.  I was able to get gmail noticiations and appointment reminders on the old phone.  Do not get on new.  Checked the setting and they are the same.  I followed the instructions under help and still do not get them.

I have tried these.  The G7 will not synch with with Versa Lite.  Had no problem synching when I had G6.
