Not receiving notifications on Charge 3

I bought a new fit bit charge 3 and I can't get it to let me know when a text message or phone call is coming in. 

 

Also I can't seem to cancel my fitbit 2 on my dashboard.

I've tried everything I know how so if someone can walk me though it I would appreciate it. I have a Samsung phone.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared. To better assist you with this, can you please specify which Samsung mobile device are you using? Also, what do you mean when you say that you can't seem to cancel your Fitbit 2? Do you have a Charge 2 paired with your Fitbit account? 

 

In the meantime I receive your answers, I recommend you to check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Fitbit are correctly configured and to try some troubleshooting steps.
