Not receiving notifications with Honor 10

Hi, I upgraded my phone from a Samsung galaxy to an Honor 10 a few months ago.

Everytime I charge my fitbit versa lite, which disconnects from my phone when I leave the watch at home, I've noticed that the notifications to the watch don't work (Everytime this happens) and I have to hard-reset the phone and disconnect notifications manually. I also get the error message "notification services aren't working".

 

Is this a fitbit error or is it the phone compatibility? If this problem persists, I'm going to have to get rid of the watch as the main use is for notifications and stuff.
