Not receiving text notifications with Google Pixel 4A

Just bought a Pixel 4a to replace my broken 3a.  My Versa Lite still gets notifications that I have a phone call but will not notify me of emails and SMS messages.  help please!

That is a useless and arrogant reply.    None of the Android phones work properly with my Fitbit Sense.  I'm sorry it's too late for me to return this $330 piece of junk to Best Buy.  It is almost 2021 and your reply about your poorly made watches is to go read info?  It should all auto find and auto sync everyrhing.   I'm renaming it the Senseless watch.

Hello Ricardo!  I have tried every possible setting, having followed all the links, including the ones in your email, to no avail.  I have a Fitbit Versa Lite.  I had a Pixel 3a and they worked together perfectly.  I could use Fitbit to monitor my bike rides with maps and calories and heart rate - it all worked fine.  I got used to getting notifications on my watch about emails and SMS messages and being able to tell my phone to answer a phone call from the watch.  My Pixel 3a got damaged.  I have replaced it with a new Pixel 4a.  Everything works just the same, including bike ride monitoring, GPS and answering phone calls via my watch - all except email and SMS notifications on my watch - they do not appear at all, no matter what I do.

This problem has now been resolved.  I am not entirely sure how but rebooting the watch may have helped.
