Not receiving text notifications with Samsung S9

I have a Galexy S9 (android 10). I am able to receive  facebook messages, marco polo notifications, WhatsApp notifications,  and even phone calls. However, i cannot receive any text  messages. My phone  will not  pair with my versa 2. If it does ever pair, it never connects. I am so very frustrated because I have been trouble shooting the mess out of this watch for almost a week now and nothing has changed. I have tried everything I have read on how to similar issues, but it isn't  working. Recieving messages was the main reason i chose this watch to begin  with. Please help! I'm on the verge of just returning it and getting something else.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the details that were shared in your post, I totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. I recommend you to check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Fitbit are correctly configured and to try some troubleshooting steps.

I have been experiencing the same problem since 02/12.  Prior to that, I haven't had any problems with the notifications.  Now they've all gone, including the reminders to get up and do the 250 steps every hour.  Is there a general software problem?  And yes, I've gone through all of the troubleshooting steps before I even sat to register the complaint.  Thank you in advance if you can help with a solution!
