My fitbit won't sync my texts or phone calls on my screen. How do I fix this? I have a Samsung Galaxy s6 edge plus.

Turns out there was just some kind of odd glitch. I had to go in and disable Message Preview and Popups, then I went back and re-enabled them. That did the trick. The only thing that is strange now is that if there are two messages at one time, it then only shows me the name(s) of the sender(s) and how many messages. Single messages work just fine.

STEP 1: CHECK THE SIGNAL BARS
If the signal bars show no service coverage then you can’t make/receive calls as well as send/receive texts. Try rebooting your phone to see if it can detect the signal after. There have been reports of some Galaxy S6 Edge that can’t get good service or can’t detect any signal at all and obviously, it’s a hardware issue.

STEP 2: VERIFY IF YOUR PHONE CAN SEND A TEXT MESSAGE
1. From the Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
2. Find and tap Messages.
3. Touch the Menu icon on the upper-right corner (3 dots).
4. Tap Settings from the options.
5. Tap Delete old messages.
6. Now tap text message limit.
7. Increase the number of messages to be received.
8. Touch OK.
STEP 3: VERIFY IF YOU CAN MAKE A PHONE CALL
1. Turn off your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up, Home and Power keys together.
3. When the device powers on and displays ‘Power on logo’, release all keys and the Android icon will appear on the screen.
4. Wait until the Android Recovery Screen appears after about 30 seconds.
5. Using the Volume Down key, highlight the option, ‘wipe data/factory reset’ and press the Power key to select it.
6. Press the Vol Down button again until the option ‘Yes — delete all user data’ is highlighted and then press the Power key to select it.
7. After the reset is complete, highlight ‘Reboot system now’ and hit the Power key to restart the phone.
How can I hide the previews from all my text messages on the status bar?
Go to Settings > tap Messages > select Notifications > find Preview Message > untick the check box next to Status bar. That’s pretty much it!

I need the notifications to be more than one and louder as I am hard of hearing

It's great to welcome you @Grandpopp. The trackers don't make any noise at the moment of receiving a notification, but you can check the Charge 2 Stronger Vibration request, vote for it and leave your comment.

Catch you later. Woman Happy

I am having this same issue with my Galaxy Note8
It will scroll "new massage" but won't say from who. it will scroll a new phone call but won't say who!!!
I didn't have the problem with my GS6. So is it a FitBit issue or a Note8 issue, or an OS 7.1.1 ???

I had the same issue and felt like I was going round in circles trying to sync until Google play services popped up on my screen asking if I wanted to add a trusted device.

Works fine now.

Those of us with Galaxy 8 are screwed. I also don't get text messages and spent 45 minutes with support. At the end I was told that they know its an issue, but since Galaxy 9 just came out they don't know when they will get to it, maybe a month, maybe 2 months (maybe never). I was told well it still works even if you don't get texts. Yeah, I think I am going to return it.

I've had this problem for over a year with my Blaze and my Galaxy S6. Tired everything, even replacing the Blaze.....nothing works.

I have the Charge 2 and previously the one with the dots. If you keep the charge2 relatively close to your wrist the vibration is very noticeable.
