I've tried everything suggested. It has been weeks since my ionic started saying that I have no internet. Of course I do. It does the same thing with Kindle. The issue is with the ionic.

is it on the list of compatible devices? click to see
The Kindle is not compatible.
here is something a moderator posted about phones being compatible:
"Please note that your phone or tablet is not on our list of compatible devices. We confirmed that the devices on this list are fully compatible with all features of Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app. While a phone or tablet may not be verified as fully compatible, the Fitbit app may still work with your device.
We routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models. Be sure to verify that your phone or tablet meets the minimum operating system requirements.
If your phone supports Bluetooth 4.0, we provide assistance and troubleshooting steps. Because your phone or tablet is not fully compatible with Fitbit devices, we can't guarantee syncing and other Fitbit features. "

Hello @YvetteT., welcome to the Community Forums!
First, I appreciate your effort and patience for troubleshooting this situation before posting over here, I totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your Android mobile device that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed.
Then, you can move forward and try the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes.
@Odyssey13 Thanks for sharing such an informative post, it's always nice to see you around helping users here in the Community Forums.
Let me know if further assistance is needed and if you have any additional questions.

I have a Samsung 7galaxy edge. Ionic had no problem with syncing until a month ago. I have done everything suggested. It still says that I don't have internet. Funny that I can see news articles, etc. I DO have internet.
This will be the last fitbit that I ever purchase.

I'm having the same issue of the "no internet connection" error, on a Galaxy S7, with a FitBit Blaze Classic, and using the FitBit app. Tried the above suggestions, no luck. Other apps are acknowledging my internet, and the Blaze is syncing with the app periodically, but the error is preventing me from updating goals.
