I am also having this problem. I am not receiving text notifications only. I've been through the list several times of installing unistill change this and that setting to no avail. I am glad I found this thread as I was starting to think I had some weird unknown setting somewhere that was the issue. Hopefully this can get resolved soon.

Is there a resolution on this yet? I reached out again to Fitbit and this was the response...
Hello Jennifer,
This is Luis Fernando, from the Fitbit customer support Escalations department. Your case about your notifications issue was brought to my attention.
We apologize for the inconveniences caused by this issue. We look forward to getting it corrected as soon as possible. We strongly recommend updating your Fitbit app constantly as with every new version we address any found issues (among other things)
Keep in mind that our Warranty policy states that 'Fitbit does not warrant that the operation of the Product will be uninterrupted or error-free.' However, as we want to provide you with the best experience possible we truly look forward to fixing this known situation as soon as possible.
Feel free to ask any questions.
Thank you for being Fitbit. Have a good one.
Sincerely,
Luis Fernando U and the Fitbit Team

Well that was one of the most asinine responses I've seen. Now they are pulling out the "we never guaranteed things would work" response? That's bs.
For what it's worth, messages stopped working when the Android 10 update came out. In Sept. People have had various issues but those of us with Pixels got instant updates to the new OS.
And support kept saying to update the app.... Dunno about any of you but most of my apps are in an auto update schedule. Also the restart, stop Bluetooth, stop the app, howl at full moons, and various other suggestions from Fitbit are crap script responses.
I had hoped they would have gotten their act together by now. I will say this... I find it highly amusing that I am suddenly seeing dozens of "me too" messages each day.
THEY HAVEN'T FIXED THIS SINCE EARLY SEPTEMBER. DO YOU REALLY THINK THEY ARE GOING TO FIX THIS NOW???

Thank you for that update. I am looking at Samsung as well since message notifications is the primary reason I bought the watch. Microsoft's Band performed better than Versa 2 in that my watch would buzz before my phone even rang or text notifications appeared.. So disappointing.

Hiya, I'm new to this, as I got my Versa 2 for Christmas. However, just recently I cant get any notificiations on my fitbit. When I look at the notifications on my phone app, it states 'Notification service not running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notifications on your tracker' I have done this a few times and on my fitbit and still no notifications. Could you please explain why not and how I can get them, as this is a main reason why I wanted a fitbit. Thank you.
