Same here. Ever since the update to Android last week, sometimes my Versa 2 notifications work, sometimes not. I've tried everything from turning off both Versa 2 and phone, turning off/on Bluetooth, placing both on chargers - you name it, I've done it. I hope Fitbit IT get a patch done, quickly, because I rely on my watch a lot for message and email notifications.
Best AnswerI hope they fix it cause I need my notifications when I'm at work and cant look at my phone. I think it will be fixed soon. I have faith in Fitbit fixing it.
Best AnswerI agree 100% with your text- I too got the phone to track my fitness but also be able to get messages etc when not next to my phone.....very frustrating
Best AnswerThis is the second time this has happened widespread with the Versa 2 and Android. The first time was when this watch was released in late 2019. I almost sent to back & went with another brand, but decided to stick it out. Now this has happened, again. I've done every single troubleshooting steps, a factory reset and tried switching to Google Messenger. None of it works this time. They need to get this fixed soon. It's very frustrating when one of the main features I chose this watch for has worked less than the time I've owned the watch.
Fitbit customer service had me enter the watch just like I just bought it knew I got the phone new it's working now!

Best AnswerI just purchased a versa 2 fitbit. I have had a charge 3 forever and no issues. But notifications on this new versa have not worked consistently over the 24hours that I have had it. It rarely works. I continue to to get an error message, " notification service not running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notifications on your tracker". I was online with fitbit for 30minutes and they finally turned it over to their tech department which has not called me back yet. While I am waiting on them, I thought I would reach out and see if someone figured out a solution. I have a galaxy s9. Also, I have already rebooted many times of course. I have already cleared the data and the cache and logged back in many times. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled fitbit app and turned off fitbit device. I have already turned off bluetooth, repaired, etc. Please help. Thanks.
I'm sure it will be fixed around the time Android 11 rolls out
