I have the Ionic & everything is up to date. I just got it about a year ago & really don't want to spend money on a new watch whether it be fitbit or something else

I originally called customer service and complained and got a case started on mine ,my versa2 is only 2 months new and the place I bought it from did not offer a warranty, 30 day money bank for electronics and go figure 2 months out the watch started having issues. After starting the case complaint I was issues a case number from Fitbit. 2 weeks went by and no changes, I still was not recieving my text message notifications. I called them again with my case number this past Monday and the customer service guy told me they would be sending out an update this week. I told him if nothing is fixed by Monday I would be calling once again to work on a refund request. Im not sure if your ionic is included in this update since it did state it was a versa 2 update. Call them and issue a complaint if you haven't already. I know I was not wanting to spend more money on another smart watch. These things aren't cheap. And this lady isn't rich. I hope this helps. Good luck.

I updated this morning, kept getting the "notifications service not running" message, went through all the usual steps nothing worked. Uninstalled and reinstalled app, mesaage no longer there but my notifications are still not working automatically, it only syncs when the app is open and active (not syncing all day in the background like it should be). So the update did not help me. Huawei mate 20 pro

Thanks for the instructions. I followed them, and alas, my Versa Lite is up-to-date. And not receiving texts. Disappointing.

This may or may not help but I thought I would share this anyways. I found a solution for getting my notifications back on my Charge 3 from my Samsung Galaxy S10. I installed the app Google Messages and made it the default in my phone. And then refreshed my Fitbit and my texts started coming back in instantly. Good luck!

Thank you for the good info. Regretfully I have the Charge 3, no updates available. My Charge 3 is running Android 10. Still get the notifications but unable to see the actual message (I use the Samsung Txt app). Hopefully a fix will be coming for this device as well.

I just did but I shouldn't have to download another app. Fitbit needs to make the update compatible

I have a Samsung Galaxy s10. I just got my watch this month. I am able to get facebook, emails, Facebook msg. I am not able to get text msgs or phone calls. I was able to get phone calls for a bit but then it stopped. I have done all the troubleshooting stuff. I can get the test call. But no calls or texts. This is one of the main reasons I got the watch. Why can't I? And when will I be able to?
Edit I have a versa 2
