I just got mine to work. Go to the fitbit app and click on the account icon on the top right corner. click on your device=under general click on notifications and then enable calls, text messages, emails, etc. Under text message pick your default messaging app. Hope that helps.

I tried everything on this document and it didn't help with the notifications.

I am no longer receiving notifications either. Everything is set correct, does not even respond to the test. I did have an update occur to the Oreo operating system and has not worked since then.
