Notifications settings not shown on Android app

My Fitbit app suddenly as of last Thursday 12/8/22 has updated itself?, but no longer allows me to receive text notifications to my Inspire 3. Option for calls and texts no longer an option in my app. I have a Samsumg phone, but why suddenly options are gone and why would I purchase this if you were going decide to change things on the consumer???

Not happy about this, especially since I upgraded from a older model

Without getting into texts and calls, your Fitbit app updating itself has nothing to do with Fitbit.  This is just an regular app on your phone, like any other app.  If Android, there is setting in Google Play Store about auto-updating apps.  You can have it auto-update all apps, which I suspect you have set, auto-update nothing, or do it specifically app-by-app. Personally, I have it auto-update all other apps, but have to give the OK for Fitbit apps, just so I will be on the lookout for any differences.

I assume the Apple Store has a similar setup.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

@Cjellman Have you tried deleting the app and reinstalling it to see if the calls/text option in the Fitbit app returns? I have never heard of that going missing.

Was this solved? I am having the same issue now. App has been working nicely for months, and now my notifications menu is not showing up.
