Where is the option to receive alerts when I receive a message or an email in my LG v20

For texts:

From phone dashboard, go to settings, notifications, text messages, select messaging option you use.

Also, make sure you haven't turned notification off from fitbit device, might depend on device. On Charge 2, by depressing side button repeatedly, get to notifications and hold in to toggle on or off.

 

Email I don't know - don't use.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
