Number of calories burned

It shows that I burn about the same number of calories no matter what I do. Yesterday I ran 5 miles and burned the same number of calories as the other day when I only put in 7000 steps.

Hello my friend @quirkymj, hope you're doing great Smiley Very Happy! Are you still having the same issue?

Is your Fitbit syncing? If you're still having syncing issues, please try the steps posted in the I can't sync my tracker article to get this issue solved.

Let me know if you keep getting the same amount of steps.

Send me a screen shot so I can investigate further..

An example of my calories burned...on Thursday, I ran 5 miles and put in
8.33 miles for a total 1985 calories burned. On Friday, I put in 4.77 miles
for 1890 calories burned. I even have a charge hr, which should show the
rise in heart rate during my run. Oh, and this isn't a syncing problem. It
just basically shows my calories burned as being the within 1800 and 2000
no matter what I do.

Thanks for getting back my friend @quirkymj Smiley Wink!

Hmmm...very strange let me say. Are you manually logging the activity? How are you tracking your activity? By the tracker itself? Do you use SmartTrack, MobileRun, the Exercise mode? Have you checked how the calories are calculated on your Fitbit?

As a friendly advice or suggestion, I'd recommend checking the How do I track my exercise and activities with Fitbit?

Hope this helps!

Thanks for getting back to me about this. I use smart tracker for some
things but I'll start the timer tracker for runs and crossfit. One would
think the device would take heart rate into account. The days I run, my
heart rate is at peak most of the time. Other days it's mostly just in
cardio.

Another thing, the band is splitting just below the display on the front
and it seems to be holding on to the heart rate monitor part. I really wish
you'd come out with interchangeable bands for this model. I have a Charge
with the same problem. I've had the Charge for a year and a half and the HR
for less than a year.

I really like my Fitbits and wear one or the other all the time (except in
water, of course). I'd love to be able to fix these issues.
