Thank you for replying. I think the culprit was the Texting App (Textra) that I had downloaded. All my settings were set for it. But I wasn't receiving texts to my phone or Blaze...unless I initiated the text. I went back to my Samsung texting that came with my phone. Everything is working great now. I'm always receiving texts on my phone & Blaze. I hope this will help other people as well.

Hello @Vick63, let me give you a friendly welcome to the Fitbit Community! If the notifications are failing and you are missing some text messages please give it a try to the following troubleshooting steps: My tracker isn't receiving notifications (Android Fitbit app).

The Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ has just been added to our official supported devices, so there are still a few things being worked out. Some users might still have issues with the pairing process or with notifications. In the following post you can find more updates about the compatibility.

See you soon and hope this helps!

Hello @Vick63, I'm glad to hear you were able to find the source of the issue. This is very helpful information you have shared. Many third party services not officially supported, do not communicate to well to work with the Fitbit app.

I'm sure this will help other users who might found a similar scenario!

Stay awesome and hope to see you again!
