I have the same issue here:
https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Blaze/Please-help/td-p/1238328

obviously the solution was not a solution...

Just got my Fitbit Blaze and I am using a Samsung Galaxy S3. Went through all the instructions, created an account and when it was time to add the device I keep getting "Please update your application." I tried everything suggest in the the help forums here and also in the FAQs/Help section. I did the whole reinstall, restart my Blaze, charged it, etc etc.

I tried googling and still no resolution and the problems seems to be affecting a small amount of people only.  Here is my device info taken from the Fitbit app:

My environment:

AppVersion = 2.15.1 (2142815) RELEASE
AppVersion chain = 2.15.1 (2142815) RELEASE
BTLE library: Samsung v1
Build.DISPLAY: JRO03L.I747UCDLK3
Build.MANUFACTURER: samsung
Build.MODEL: SAMSUNG-SGH-I747
Build.PRODUCT: d2uc
Build.DEVICE: d2att
Build.BRAND: samsung
Build.BOARD: MSM8960
Build.VERSION.RELEASE: 4.1.1
Build.VERSION.SDK_INT = 16

Please help!

Ok found the issue: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/Android-app-updates/m-p/1371467

My android version is 4.1.1 and the highest version of the app that supports it is 2.15.1 therefore I can't use my phone for Fitbit....wow so basically I have to get a new phone.

I wish they would be specific and say you must have minimum of version 4.3 or your phone cannot connect to your device even if you install an older version of the app.

As I said in my original Post, I already removed the app and reinstalled it again. FOr some reason it is only install version 2.15.1.  Fitbit should provide an .apk for us to download and install 😃

This is pretty lame. More info about requirements would be nice! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fitbit.FitbitMobile

This is your device requirement details on 25.12.2016 : "Requires Android Varies with device" & "Current Version Varies with device" The application installs fine on Android 4.22, but this message appears when trying to sync with fitbit device "Please update your application to continue". Since the app is straight from the store, there is no update. If the application does not support the Android version, at least block it from installing with a warning.
