Hello
I had several issues losing the sync between my Versa and my Android 8.1 OnePlus5.
I tried a lot of workarounds (killing BT, removing the app, removing the Versa, resets etc etc), none worked.
What finally did the trick was :
- Settings
- Battery
- Battery Optimisation
- Fitbit => DO NOT OPTIMIZE
It's been 24 hours now without any issues, SMS/Calendar notifications, etc are working 100%.
I will update this post but let me know if it helped you too.
Cheers

Welcome to the Forums @Slammy.
Thanks for sharing those workarounds that have worked for you.
I'd like to mention in a general sense, because I think it is important, that the OnePlus 5 is not currently a part of our Supported Devices list. This means that we cannot guarantee that the Fitbit devices will sync properly with it, or other devices not on the list.
It is possible that they work if they fulfill the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, but it is not a certainty that we can assure. Some users of unsupported devices have found different workaround, or that following these steps, have worked for them so I'd say it is definitely worth a shot.
Let me know if there is anything I can help you with.

Update :
- As soon as I plug anything else on BlueTooth (Heaphones, Speaker, Car), I have to turn BT On and Off on the phone.
- I had no issues for 36 hours straight (without connecting to any other BT device)
