Oppo a57 and Android 6.0 compatibility with Versa

I got a brand new versa for Christmas and I was really excited to get the new update as I was excited for the new features, however because my Oppo only has coloros 3.0.0i (Android 6.0) I cannot do so. There are no available updates and my fitbit itself is stuck on version 32.33.2.30. Please fitbit, allow us older phone users to update our app and devices to the latest version 😞

Hi @SunsetRunner, welcome to the Community Forums! Sorry for the delayed reply.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. As it turns out, because your mobile device is running Android 6.0, you'll not receive the latest Fitbit app updates into your phone, this is because of the Google PlayStore version your Oppo A57 is running at the moment and because the Fitbit app is not updated, the firmware update cannot be downloaded.

Also, keep in mind that such mobile device is not compatible with our products and services, therefore, you can experience some connection difficulties with it. As any technological device, it's always recommendable to keep everything up to date because the same way new Android versions are released, we work with them to ensure that we will deliver the best Fitbit experience to our users. Since your mobile device cannot be updated, you can try with a Windows 10 computer instead.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.
