Pace/Lap display in Exercise

ANSWERED

I have a Charge 6 and Iphone and within the past few days my laps/pace on my exercise details page has gone crazy.  I walked tonight, 2.23 Miles at average 19' pace.  The detail at the bottom says Lap 1 - 11'41"/mi = 3.63 miles.  I know my laps are set at 1.0 mi. I have gone back and earlier exercises that had lap1, lap 2, etc... now have similar one lap with ludicrous distances and no individual laps.  This makes me nuts, as a runner I want to know what my lap times are for training and improvement.

Anyone that can help would make me very happy.

Is there any update at this point? Like others have said - training for a race & this glitch is making that very difficult.

Just joining the long thread of annoyed people as mine is also doing the same. It’s so frustrating.

So I can get the laps to show up correctly on the versa 4. On the watch in the actual exercise selection, like run, if I scoll down there are settings for how much distance each lap should be counted as. When I finish the run the laps are correct with the split times per mile on the watch. When I sync with the IOS app the total time, average pace, gps route and distance are correct. The per mile pace is incorrect. It shows up, much like others have show here with a one kilometer pace but over 1.61 miles. So my 10:00 minute mile shows as 6'25"/mile for 1.61 mile split.  Super frustrating as the lap feature worked up until just recently. Just updated the app again maybe this is the fix they have been promising.

Can we get a fix!?

Thank you !
I’ll see how that goes but it’s still so frustrating that Fitbit keep ‘fixing’ what ain’t broke !

I have same issue, it was definitely showing split on 16th August as I sent a screen shot to my friend and now all runs and walks no longer show split, just lap 1 totalled, including historic runs. This is so frustrating, why can’t the change that’s been made be rolled back, it makes no sense!

At what point do we decide this isn’t going to get fix? This was an expensive watch and it is no longer doing what I need it for. When do we go out and buy a different watch from a different company? So frustrating!

Ok Juan, it's been over a month with no update.  What's the status of fixing this issue?  Thanks

Come on Fitbit!!!   This is so frustrating - at least roll back to App version before you messed it up.

I don't think they want to fix it for some reason.  Been two months now.  This should be an easy fix.

I suspect they cant fix it!  I exported the raw data and examined it, the lap details have gone, to be replaced by a single entry.  So wonder if it was a data/system migration that wasn’t tested or completed correctly.

It’s extremely annoying. My husbands works fine and shows every lap . His app is on an iPhone 11 my phone is an iPhone 7 so maybe it’s the iOS version?

Please update soon. This is a highly undesirable change. We want mile splits back. There are many of us. Please stop changing the way our data tracks. It seems all my runs for the past 10 years is wrecked to one weird pace instead of mile splits.

I have the Strava app set up to get Fitbit data. When I go on a run, even
though it won’t show the mile splits correctly in the Fitbit app, it does
show it correctly in Strava. So that gives me hope that it can be fixed in
the FitBit app. It should just be a simple math problem.

I went for a bike ride today and the mile splits were correct. This seems to only be an issue with the walk or run exercises.?

Hi everybody ! Thank you for your messages and feedback.

@Hokiemiata Thank you for sharing that in your case biking is not being affected.

@Lynn975 , Thank you for your message. Please keep in mind that on this thread, the discussion is about the missing laps/pace, or having it as only one big lap.
For issues about the calories burned, please post your comment on a dedicated thread or open a new one.

Juan - I would ask that you please address the larger crowd in question here.  There have been a lot of people patiently waiting for some sort of explanation or even a timeframe when this problem will be resolved.  I believe that a couple of months is an ample amount of time to address a technical issue such as this one.  It would appear that it is not a priority for Fitbit/Google to address this problem and they are leaving a growing number of people without much of an option.  I personally have been a Fitbit customer since 2015 and have even convinced other runners to purchase your products in the past.  Unfortunately, I ran a marathon this past weekend and was forced to use someone else's solution as Fitbit did resolve this problem in time.  Either provide a legitimate answer to this community in the next couple of days or I will be leaving the Fitbit community and moving over to the solution that I used this past weekend.
