Persistent GPS is running message alert at top

There have been lots of forum posts in the past on this I can find in google.

My pixel 2 after a run maintains a

"Connected GPS is running" message alert on the top.  Charge 3 with version 3.18 for the android app, but I have this issue about every 2nd run and have for the last month or two where this function gets stuck.

I've force quit the app, uninstalled and reinstalled, and rebooted my device and it seems to just go away after a few days of draining my battery and being a gigantic pain.

So Fitbit, you fixed "this in" in prior versions supposedly but its still there, anybody else still have it?

Hi @autopilot180, welcome to the Community Forums! Sorry for the delay in responding your post.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for troubleshooting your issue before posting over here. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this issue and how many times since then? This occurs after you track an activity using GPS or randomly? If this occurs with activities that use the connected GPS feature of your Charge 3, with which ones you experienced this? If you haven't already done so, pleas etry the following steps:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
  3. Make sure that the Android version is up to date.
  4. Reboot your mobile device.
  5. Reinstall the Fitbit app.
  6. Login using your account credentials.

Keep me posted and let me know if you have any additional questions.
