When using the app for measuring a run I am noticing some errors when I start the track my run stopwatch. When I press to start, the stopwatch doesnt start counting from zero but instead it starts at 3 or 4 minutes?? Can someone advise on why this is happening? Thanks.

Hi @therunningman20

Have moved this thread from the Charge HR to the Android App section to increase the chance of getting a solution.

Your post will get more attention here.

Make sure the latest fitbit app is installed, if not already done feel free to uninstall the Fitbit App & reinstall freshly as sometimes glitches can occur when keeping installing new versions over existing ones.

Optionally when desired, consider clearing the cache of the fitbit app on the phone:

Many thanks for that will clear the cache and see if that solves the problem.

If I delete and reinstall the app presumably I dont lose all the data?

All information is stored on the fitbit account, the phone app gets a sort of copy as when logging foods for example online (computer), this be reflected in the fitbit app phone.. and if logging foods from within the app, this is reflected on the account, this is why internet needs to be turned on when logging foods.. in the app.. Welcome to the Fitbit Community @therunningman20, are you still having this inconvenience with the stopwatch?

As an alternative you can also try to logout from the application, then reboot your phone and log back in to the Fitbit app to confirm if you're still finding this error. I hope this helps, keep me posted. Smiley Happy

I used it again today and had the same problem.

I have now uninstalled the app on the phone and reinstalled but the same problem occurs. I cleared the cache again and that appears to solve it but I really shouldnt have to do that every time I use it should I?

Regards,

Lance.

Thanks for the update @therunningman20, it is a bit strange that you continue to see this with the stopwatch in the Fitbit app, I do recommend that you to get in touch with the Customer Support team for further assistance with this and they will let you know how to proceed. Keep us posted.
