Phone won't sync to One, only to Charge 3

I just spent the last hour fighting with the Android App trying to get it to use the data from my One.  I've given up trying to get my 10K steps for today.

The issue is that I have a Charge 3 that was close enough to be seen by my phone.  After losing the first half hour of walking when the data on the device I have not worn in a week or more over-wrote the data from the One, I put the Charge 3 our in the car in the garage.  Now, the Android app insists that there is a problem with BlueTooth as it cannot sync with the Charge 3.

Just now, it failed to sync with the One as far as the App is concerned, but it did succeed in sending the stale data to the One when is back to where I started this.

There should be a way in the App to tell it to ignore a device, or to specifically use a device and ignore everything else.

Hello @ClarkWierda.

Thanks for sharing all of the steps that you have followed to try and get the Fitbit app to sync to both devices. Let me help you figure out what could be happening.

It is possible that the Charge 3 bonded with your phone and that is preventing the syncing with the One. You can stop the bonding by making sure that 'Always Connected' with the Charge 3 is turned off. You can do so by following these steps:

  1. Open the Fitbit app and go your account by tapping on the top-right corner of the app.
  2. There, tap on the Charge 3 option.
  3. Make sure that All-Day Sync and Always connected are turned off. You can find them by scrolling down through the settings.
  4. Once they are turned off restart your phone and try syncing your One again.

Let me know if there are any further questions.
