Pixel 3 - Cannot switch between 2 fitbit devices

I have a Charge 2 and Versa, and just bought the Google Pixel 3. On my previous iphone, I was able to switch seamlessly between the Charge and Versa, depending on what I was wearing at the time. Now that I'm on an android, the app will not allow me to do this. If I want to wear the Charge 2, I have to unpair the Versa and it will pick up the Charge; I can't just go back and forth.

I've done the usual - force quit, uninstall, turn bluetooth on/off, etc. It worked for 2 minutes a few weeks ago and now, nothing. I have to unpair the Versa EVERY DAY just to use my Charge 2 during a workout, then re-install the Versa to wear throughout the day.

There has to be a fix for this??? Thanks in advance!

@SunsetRunner, you should not have to unpair the trackers to change which one you are wearing.  If you sync your Versa, take it off, put on the Charge 2, and sync the Charge 2, it will track the data from the Charge 2 and update your account accordingly. When you want to change back to the Versa, reverse the procedure by syncing the Charge 2, take it off and put the Versa on, and sync it. Everything will remain in sync and keep your data updated.

Oh but if that were true..... it doesn't work. I have tried everything - restarting my phone, syncing, unpairing, you name it!

@USAF-Larry And just to clarify, I'm talking about the app reading the steps from the Charge or Versa, depending on which one I'm using. If I'm wearing the Versa, it will read those steps. When I switch to the Charge, it is still looking for the Versa and only syncing the Versa, not syncing the Charge that I'm now wearing. So I have to unpair the Versa so the app will pick up and read the steps that I'm now making on the Charge.

@SunsetRunner, this should not be an issue. The Android app can & will sync both devices - I do it every day - and whichever tracker you are wearing will be the one counting steps.  From the app Account screen, you can select whichever tracker you wish to sync, and then tap on Sync Now to sync that device.  So, if you sync the Versa and then sync the Charge 2, both devices will show the same data and whichever one you put on will start counting the new steps.

@USAF-Larry I agree with you, it should not be an issue, but it is for me. I'm just searching to see if there are any possible solutions or if this will be my process every day ...

I ended up just unpairing my charge 2 and only syncing my Versa. I will just leave the Charge 2 off of the account so that I can sync easily. This is not an ideal solution but I don’t know how else to get the 2 devices to switch back and forth. Frustrated!

Why I cannot switch between 2 fitbit or 3 fitbit? I have the Blaze, Versa 2 and the Ionic every time I wear whichever one of them I have to set up again the Fitbit that I want to wear and update my wallet again and again....there is no way that I can just wear and go or pair and go the Fitbit that I want to wear I have to make a new Fitbit set up just like setting up a new FITBIT....any clue???
