Pixel Watch 2 Bike Activity Not Tracking Distance

I follow a route with the walking activity turned on using the Fitbit app on my watch and it tracks the distance well.  When I follow the same route but use the bike mode while riding my bike, it says it contacts to GPS, but the distance didn't update.  0 miles in 20 minutes, but I probably went about 2 miles.  Seems like a bug.
