Just bought pixel watch 2. Setup perfectly except for the fitbit app. Refuses to connect to watch no matter what "workaround" or "fix" is used.
Factory reset watch, restarted both devices multiple time, updated and reinstalled apps multiple times on both devices, cleared cache and data on both devices, tried multiple accounts, tried changing language, tried with and without wifi, tried through the watch then phone app then pixel watch app. Nothing at all works and my watch will not connect.
Please find a fix to this so I don't have to return this product.

It wasn't working for me this morning, but I just tried again and it suddenly worked. So maybe they fixed whatever was wrong on the backend.
If it matters, I had WiFi disabled on the phone and watch, and both the Fitbit app and the watch were fully updated. I didn't try without these things so they might not be necessary.

I am having the same issue, everything worked perfectly between my pixel watch 2 and my pixel 4a phone, but moved to the pixel 8a and having this exact same issue. I have tried every troubleshooting step I can think of from the language, to app permissions on both devices, hard resets, soft resets, every single post I have found online and nothing works.
The best part is fitbit have refused to support me because I bought the watch off someone, so even though it was working perfectly, they have down right refused to help with this issue as they have a way to get out of helping

We are not the only ones....the post is exploding with people having similar issues. Looks like the issue could be the app

Same problem. Just bought pixel watch 2 yesterday and set up was easy except the watch will not connect with Fitbit app. Will be bummed to return the watch if there's no fix. Using pixel 5 phone.

It's a known issue and the Devs are working on a solution. It will be fixed, but there isn't a timeline yet.

Hello everyone. Thanks for your posts about not being able to connect the Pixel Watch 2 with the Fitbit app.
This is a general issue affecting several users. It has been flagged already and Fitbit is working on a solution. Please be so kind to try again in a few hours. I really appreciate your patience!

Wow I can't belive it actually worked. Finally connected. Phone wifi was off here as well, did not try it with wifi on.
Can a fitbit moderator confirm or shed some light on what caused this issue?
