Pixel Watch stopped tracking activity after updating to RWD9.220429.070

Since my Pixel Watch was updated to RWD9.220429.070 in the night of the 6th december, it does not record any activity (steps, heartrate, ...) any longer. It´s evident, that the update broke this. Looking at the reviews from the fitbit app for PixelWatch i´m not the only one where the update broke fitbit https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fitbit.FitbitMobile&hl=en_US&gl=US

I am unable to see any steps/hr data on the watch. So it is not a problem of synchronisation, but in tracking/recording the activity in the first place.

What fitbit support told me to do was:
Do follow a factory reset for the Google Pixel Watch with the steps found at https://support.google.com/googlepixelwatch/answer/12661804?hl=en#zippy=%2Creset-to-factory-settings

After that set it up with your account again, following our steps at https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1873.htm. Try a step test by following the steps below:
1. Put your device on your wrist.
2. Walk 100 steps, making sure to count a step each time one of your feet hits the ground.
3. Pause, then check your device to see your step count.
...which did not lead to any recorded activity on my watch.

I went a bit further and tried the following: I force stopped the app on my pixel, then deleted cache and data from the app and removed the app. Then i did factory reset on the pixel watch. After the factory reset on the watch i updated all apps (including fitbit) and re-started the watch. Then i re-installed the fitbit app on the pixel 7 pro and connected it again to the pixel pro. The problem persists 😞

I can finally say, that after a lot of ping-pong between fitbit and google, i was asked to send in my pixel watch and now have a replacement that works again. Hope this was the last time i needed to contact the support, because it didn´t help much.
