Pixel phones-(Android 15) Recent/Frequent food have their tops cropped off at the top of the screen.

I'm sure 4.29 solved some problems, however it introduced a new problem.  When in the food selection both the Recent and Frequent have their tops cropped off at the top of the screen.  Same thing happens when you want to add calories to the top numeric entry field which is cutoff.

One has to wonder about all these updates but never getting very far.

43 days later I finally get this issued resolved for me.  Never mind the myriad of previous problems and those that others are reportedly still exist.  During this long wait there has been no comments from Google, even the Moderators have nothing meaningful to communicate. Google has lost my loyalty and respect for treating customers this way.  I for one will not be renewing my Premium subscription.  I got tired of waiting and I am using Cronometer.  I regret buying the PW3 and my Pixel 9 XL Pro.

Moderator edit:  updated subject for clarity.

Same issue here too, Pixel 6

Same issue here. Pixel 7a

Best Answer

Same here on Pixel 6 Pro

And I'm not very happy about it.

Best Answer

Same on Pixel 6 Pro.

I can just about work around the problem in the short term, but it needs fixing.

Yeah the header on the food pages cover the top results. And to add a new food, the button is the top result. If you search for a food to log and it's the top result, it too is covered.

Same issue with the weight tracking tile. Seems to be happening with everything connected to food/calories and weight.

Pixel 7a

Same here on the pixel 8.

It's like the app isn't scrolling all the way to the top of the page and the first several lines are cut off. If I search for food in the calorie counter the first entry is partially cutoff. And even the Week/Month selections above the graph in the Calorie Counter screen aren't available. (And calories burned isn't accurate again but that's a different issue)

Hello @Mikeiam

There have been other users reporting the same issue after updating to version 4.29. I've submitted an inquiry/request for escalation and will report back when I have an update.

I'm surprisingly not having this issue on my S22 Ultra. Looks like it's ironically only affecting Pixel phones, which you'd think would be the one phone that'd have the fewest bugs.

@Tatharnio @meatwaddancin  A warm welcome to the Community ! Thank you for your reports.

Could you please let us know what phone model you are using and it's Android version? ( Tatharnio from you I only need the phone model).
If possible could you please attach a screenshot on your replies, so that I can see hat you are looking at in the app.

In the meantime please on your phone go to settings > Apps >Fitbit App and clear the cache.
Restart your phone (on/off)
Open the Fitbit App and verify if the issue persists.

Hi Juan! I am on a Pixel 9 Fold, Android 15. It is present on both outside and inside screens. The top banner just covers up the top items. If I put the app into split screen, if I shrink or grow the window, more or less of the top 2 list items get covered by the top banner (hence I can tell the banner is covering them, the options aren't just missing.) In my screenshot you'll see it's impossible to add a custom food because that button is covered. Likewise in my other screenshot editing an existing food, the top is covered, I can't see name or brand. This also applies to the other food lists, for example if I search banana, I can't see the top result.

Restarting phone, force quiting app, clearing app data all don't fix it. Weirdly I did an app uninstall and reinstall yesterday and it DID fix it, but then today the Fitbit app updated and the issue returned. I uninstalled again today and reinstalled and the issue persists. So I still need this bug resolved.

I've noticed the issue seems to affect any sections in the app that still use previous theme design such as the food tracking and weight tracking sections. Those sections that have changed to the newer 'Material You' theme design which began rolling out a couple of months ago, I believe, seem to work as they should such as the sleep section.

Those sections that are still using the older theme design were working fine despite other sections changing to the newer theme but the most recent update seems to have affected those sections that still use the older theme design.

I am having the same issue. Support just had me uninstall and reinstall then restart. No difference. Everything is still cut off.

Same issue, pixel 7 pro. This did not help.

Same problem here, very frustrating especially for the items at the top of the lists which you can select.

Cleared cache, data, restarted, reinstalled... All of the usual steps without success.

Pixel Pro 7, fully up to date on Android v15.
