I bought a used Fitbit Alta HR and can't get it to sync to my Fitbit app. I have a Galaxy S9 and have done everything to try to troubleshoot - reinstalled app, restarted both devices, turned Bluetooth on and off, unpaired all other Bluetooth devices, etc. Any suggestions?

Thanks for letting us know everything that you have already tried.
I'd like to ask some questions:
- Do you get some sort of error message?
- What exactly happens when you try to set it up to your account?
Do you still have a way to contact the person who sold it to you? If so, please get in touch with them and ask them to remove the Alta HR from their mobile device's Bluetooth settings. That should help in getting it to sync with your S9.

I reached out to the previous owner with your suggestion and it still will
not sync. I do not get an error message; when I go into the app to set up
my device, it can find the device fine and asks me to type in the code on
the device to sync. When I do that, it says it's connecting but then never
does and then takes me back to the home screen and asks me again if I want
to set up a device. Very frustrating.

Thanks for doing what I suggested and letting me know it didn't work.
The next thing we could try is to follow all of the steps listed in this help article. Please try to follow all of the steps in order and then your Fitbit should setup to your account.
