Hi Fitbit,

Having trouble syncing / re-connecting my My Fitbit Charge HR to my smartphone 😞

  1. Watch was succesfully found by my LG-G4 using Bluetooth
  2. Connection number was given by the watch and entered
  3. App hangs while connecting (see screenshot).

What to do now..?

Connecting to LG G4, almost there...Connecting to LG G4, almost there...

Hi there @Freek. Great to see you in the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

I'm sorry to hear you're having problems getting your tracker to connect with your LG G4 phone. Thanks a lot for everything that you've tried to get your tracker to work.

At the moment, it seems that the LG G4 is not a compatible model for syncing with your Fitbit Charge HR device as you can see in the list of compatible devices.

When it comes to devices compatibility, keep in mind that the two devices that are for sure not compatible at the moment are the Huawei P9 Lite and the Huawei P8 Lite.

For all other devices, if they're not on the list of compatible devices, you might be able to sync with them but we don't guarantee that the functionality will be optimum as we are still testing on these phone models and due to the large number of Android and Windows devices, our team has not yet tested all of them.

In the meantime, I'd recommend giving it a try with a different phone or tablet that is compatible to get your tracker to sync.

Thanks a lot for your comprehension and if you need more help with this, let me know!

PS. I'm moving your post to the Android board for categorization purposes.

Hi FerdinandFitbit,

First: Thank you for replying..!

Second: What can I do, besides buying an even newer smartphone..? I hope Fitbit understands the problem I have with that 'solution': owning a newer phone than the supported LG G3, only to find out later, that 'it seems' the newer LG G4 range is somehow not compatible anymore... Syncing with my LG G4 has worked for quite a while (1+ year) and after several Fitbit app updates.

Please tell me (and all LG G4 and newer LG range owners, which must be 100k+), that Fitbit as the world's largest manufacturer of smart health watches is going to fix this awkward issue very soon.

Regards,
