RESOLVED: "Clock Display" setting missing for Charge/Charge HR users

Fitbit Update 04/26/2016: Everyone -- As this issue seems to be resolved, I will be locking this thread from further discussion.

 

If this issue pops up again please try the troubleshooting step of unpairing your Charge/Charge HR from your account and then setting it up again. If that doesn't work, please create a new post for the new instance and reference this thread.

 

Again, thank you to everyone who reported this issue and helped get this resolved!


Fitbit Update 04/15/2016: It's been brought to my attention that Charge/Charge HR users on the Android app, version 2.22 are unable to edit their "Clock Display" setting from the app as the setting is not available.

 

I'm currently working with our Product Specialist Team who is looking into this. When I get an update on this, I will make sure to share it with you all here first.

 

As a workaround for now, please edit your "Clock Display" setting from the online Dashboard's "Device Settings" page.

 

Again, thanks for reporting this! Hope to have an update for you all soon.

Hi,

 

I've set up my FitBit Charge to my LG G2 phone.  Everything seems to be working fine but I'm missing clock face options and call notification in account/settings.   

 

I'm not up on everything that is supposed to be in the  app but it seems a little meager with not much to actually change in settings except for goals and a few things under location and advanced.  It's like I have a "lite" version of the app.

 

I've restarted my phone and it didn't make any difference.  My phone and tracker are communicating fine.

Hi, I've just updated my replacement charge hr and I can't change the clock display. I know where to look but the option isn't there! Any ideas?? Or anyone else having the same issue??

Its towards the bottom of the setting page. Your not seeing this?

Nope.... not at all! I'll try it on the laptop but it's not on the app anymore!

On the app if you click on the device name then scroll down I see Clock display there.

 

If not there then shut down phone. Then go back in. If still not there then you might have to re-install the app

I've changed this in the app before. But I now can no longer locate where you can change the clock display in the charge HR device settings. Has it been removed? I had to go on the web settings to do it. (FYI, I'm using Android's latest version).

I just upgraded phones and was very confused about this as well. I always set mine to the clock and date display, but the option is completely missing from the latest version of the app that installed on my phone. I really hope someone fixes this.

Welcome to the Community @MizCollie. Please confirm you are doing the following to see the clock faces?

 

1. Tap Settings

2. Tap Tap Devices

3. Tap Charge

4. Slide down to Clock Display

5. Select your clock face

6. Sync

 

About the calls, I recommend trying the Calls Notifications troubleshoot.

I am also not seeing the option to change the clock face. It was there a few days ago because I changed my device & I went to change it today & the option is not there. I even uninstalled the app & reinstalled it& still not there.

Thanks for the reply.

 

 Clock face:  I was able to change it via the computer app.  I didn't realize that the cell phone app wouldn't have the same options & settings for the tracker.  

 

Call Noitification: The trouble shooting tips you seem to be for problems with the phone/tracker communicating.  My problem is that none of the apps (computer or cell phone) have call notification listed in the settings.  I would like to turn call notification on but it's not an option in my apps.

So the other day I changed my clock face on my fitbit. I decided I wanted to switch to something else but couldn't find the option anymore.. I went on the charge HR settings but it is not there. I know you can do it through the website but the fact that it's gone from the app is bugging me. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Hi Andrew. Little help if possible.i have charge HR. I want to change the clock display but that option is not available when I do to device. It's the only one not there. Any advice?
