Real step count gets reduced

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Android app, no device, no manual addition, count increases with every step correctly, when checked after 10000 steps i still see it increasing, but then minute it gets halved every time. I go for run, do 5km traktra by phone and counts get under 10000 again.

Can you please explain and advise on how to get real count stay and have accurate stats, which are tracked but get discarded by magic formula?

Welcome to the Forums @Databull.

It is possible that the app is having some issues connecting to the servers and loading information from there. In this case I'd recommend that you log out of the app, force close it and then log back in. That should definitely help out in getting everything to sync up.

If that doesn't work, I'd like to ask that you take a couple of screen shots. One with the app showing the correct step count and once when it has been reduced already. That'd let me see the situation for myself.

Let me know if there are any further questions.

Thanks for those screen shots @Databull.

I have some questions that could shed some light into what is going on:

  • Are you using two different Fitbits or just one?
  • From what I can see, no other details are reduced, did you notice any of them get removed?
  • Is the step count on your Fitbit accurate or does it reflect the change on the app?
  • If you go to previous days, do you see the correct number of steps or do you see the halved number?

Look forward to your reply! Let me know if there are any other questions.
