Reminder to Move: Start & End time won't change

ANSWERED

I'm trying to set my Start & End time in the Fitbit app to 9am-9pm, but it won't change from 7am-7am. Is this a bug? There's been some issues of not getting reminders to do my steps as well from this.

Hi there, @RachelNZ and @CERC.

Thanks for your continued reports. Our team is aware of this issue with the reminders to move settings and they're currently working on it. While I don't have specific details to share at this moment, rest assured that I'm keeping them informed of the impact to all of you. I'll share an update with you as soon as I have more information.

I just wrote a reply but it disappeared, so sorry if this info appears twice.

My daughter just switched her Fitbit to a Versa 4. She already had reminders turned on with her old Fitbit. When she moved to Versa 4, the reminders continued to work for her.

I didn't have them turned on with my old Fitbit when I moved to the Versa 4.

The team behind the scenes who are trying to resolve the ongoing issue might look at why new users of the Versa 4 or people like me who didn't have reminders on with their old Fitbit are having problems. And perhaps those who used reminders on a previous device have no issues.

This so so so so so so DOES affect iPhone users, and is driving me out of my mind.  This really should not be moved to an Android forum.

Me too.  I am almost ready to give up on my beloved Fitbit due to just this idiotic issue.  Absolutely none of the weirdly numerous ways that exist to supposedly set the hours for Reminders to Move makes any difference at all.

Relieved this isn't just me, I've updated my FitBit app, cleared the cache, restarted both my phone AND my versa 2, unpaired and paired my versa 2, and of course intermittently syncing via the app, nothing seemed to work. Have tried these multiple times as well.

Hello everyone. I'm happy to report that the reminders now work on my phone.

There's still what I consider to be a glitch - shows 7am-7am rather than the actual hours I chose. But it did let me set my hours and I have been getting reminders today.

So if you try again everyone, then it might work for you now too. It certainly wasn't working before. Good luck.

I’m getting reminders, but someone reeeeealllly needs to figure out that can’t-get-the-hours-you-want problem!

Glad you are getting the reminders now . . .

Yep the start - end time still doesn't apply even after hitting "Set goal".

I am an I phone user and my new verse 4 will not let me alter the hourly activity limits? It stays at 9-17 no matter what I’ve tried!

Right, good luck with that!!!  I'll just tell you now to not waste your time trying to convince your Fitbit to monitor the correct range of hours -- I've devoted SO MUCH TIME to this, and it is just a disastrous, unfixable mess, as far as I can tell.  😬😬😬

Hi, @LizzyFitbit.  Any word on what progress your team is making on permitting Fitbit users to select the range of hours during which they'd like to receive reminders to move?  Thanks!

Sorry you're not having any luck. My reminders have been working correctly for a few days now - within the hours that I set as my goal.

However, on the main page it still looks as if it's 7am-7am. I need to click on those times to get to the next page where I can successfully set my goal.

It's certainly strange that a full fix for everyone is still pending.

Hi everyone, and welcome to our new members.

Thanks for providing additional information, and sharing the steps that you've tried so far. Let me share that our team released the Fitbit app 4.45 to fix this issue. This app version has started rolling out to all our members so please keep an eye on the store of your phone and make sure to install it as soon as you see it available.

I appreciate your patience and don't hesitate to keep me posted on the outcome.

Well…it still doesn’t work. Updated the app…didn’t work. Deleted the app and re-added, logged back in, still getting “unable to load your goals” when I go to change the times.
