Reminder to Move: Start & End time won't change

I'm trying to set my Start & End time in the Fitbit app to 9am-9pm, but it won't change from 7am-7am. Is this a bug? There's been some issues of not getting reminders to do my steps as well from this.

Hi @Rasubun   I moved your post to the Android app forum, a better fit for this issue.  I don't know if this is a new bug or not.  It doesn't affect iPhone users.

Hello @Rasubun

I recall seeing other users report issues with setting their goals. However, I thought that had been fixed with an app update. Which version of the Fitbit app are you using? To find the version info, tap on your picture in the upper right of the Today page. Then tap on Help in the menu that opens. The app version info should be on the page that opens.

Have you had a chance to try changing your hourly goal by:

  • Click on the device icon in the upper left of the Today page
  • Tap on the tile with the picture of your Fitbit under Devices
  • You should see Reminders to move under Settings in the page that opens
  • See if you can change the hours on the page that opens

My app version is 4.41. Is that the latest?
I've gone into Reminders to Move and clicked into Start & End Time, it just opens into my Goals page. I've tried changing my Hourly activity but it didn't change the times. It still says 7am-7am.

I've just bought a Versa 4 and I'm having exactly the same issue...tried everything, can only assume it's a glitch with the latest software update...

I'm having the same issue. My Fitbit App Version is 4.40 and my device is an Inspire 2.

Hello @Rasubun , @ColKes , @Nasauber

Thank you for confirming that the other pathway to change the Hourly Reminder to move didn't work.

Please submit this issue using the Feedback option in the Fitbit app:

  • Tap on your picture in the upper right of the Today page in the Fitbit app
  • Select Feedback in the menu that opens
  • Complete the prompts & submit

The feedback reports go directly to the team to review.

I'll also try to escalate this issue from my end.

I am having the same problem.  I change the start time and the end time and hit "set goal" and the times do not change.  This has been going on for about a month now.

Best Answer

Yes, it does! Constantly changes to weird hours, like 11 pm to 3 am. Even when I fix it, it goes back to odd settings.

Hi everyone, and a warm welcome to our new members. @RiekoC Thanks for your help!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, and sharing screenshots of the Fitbit app. I'm sorry that you're going through this experience and to work on this together, I'd recommend the following steps:

  1. On your phone settings, tap Apps > Fitbit > Storage > Clear Cache.
  2. Go back to one screen, and tap Force Close.
  3. Reboot your phone.
  4. Open the Fitbit app and try adjusting the Hourly Activity one more time.

If the issue persists, reply back with the model and software (OS) version of your phone. These details will help me to further investigate.

Your fix does not work for me. Further, when I click over the Start & End Time, it takes me to my Goals page! I tried setting the Bedtime and Wake time in case somehow that worked, but no help.

 I have a Galaxy S21, 5G     Model name SM-G991W.

did you ever fix it? Kind of annoying the only response you got was “you need to post this somewhere else”.

My understanding based on the moderators response is that the issue has been escalated higher - so my sense is that they know there's a problem and are working on it.

I would expect an actual fix will come out asap.
