Rounded running times on the map

Hey just wondering if there are any updates on this? I just got a pixel watch and immediately noticed the rounded run times, it's pretty irritating not being able to see the exact times. Some of the charts for the exercise list time on the x-axis, but the times aren't consistent between them, so I have no idea what my actual 5k run time was unless I'm staring at my watch and remember the time shown as I pass 5 kilometers.

Thanks for any updates.

This is a lazy, completely unacceptable response, and you know it Rodrigo.

This is an issue reported over 2 years ago and it still hasn't been resolved. It is ridiculous that there's no way to see the exact time of a run, without a silly work around. This is a basic piece of data that should be displayed prominently.

FYI @mattgoode the best workaround is to press the edit button when on the map screen. This will bring up the exact time on the list of parameters you can edit. Absolute joke that you have to do that though.

So disappointed with Fitbit since getting my Pixel watch. So much less user friendly/intuitive compared to Strava.

@mattgoode Welcome to the forums.

Thanks for posting regarding the run times on the map. In order for you to see the exact times on the app, you just need to press on the tile next to "map". There you can find "splits" next to it. Tap on it and you will be able to see the split times for each kilometer. However, on the map the times will be rounded. Thanks for your understanding.

Have a nice day!

@RodrigoMFitbit your response makes no sense. The problem is with the total time of a run which is rounded (has been like that for a very long time and Fitbit ignores that). Here's the run time (33min, should be 32:31):

33min, in real the time is 32:3133min, in real the time is 32:31

So how the splits should be any help?

f2.jpgShould we sum all the times manually (7th lap isn't full km so that would be 0.25 * 5'11)? That's ridiculous! And then is the last lap really 0.25km as then yet another issue comes into the picture...

The first screen shows a distance of 6.16km but all the splits sum to 6.25km. This issue exists also in the web dashboard:

So did I run 6.16km or 6.25km?So did I run 6.16km or 6.25km?

But to notice that somebody in Fitbit would need to be actually using those devices... 😒

@mattgoode what you describing is a very old issue and a long time ago the app used to display the time correctly. One of the updates changed that, users reported the issue but Fitbit just ignored it. Don't count on a fix.

Hey @RodrigoMFitbit I was going to reply but @t.parker actually explained it pretty perfectly. Adding up the splits times is not sufficient. If I run a 5k, I want to be able to see the total time that 5 kilometers took, and not in a rounded figure like in t.parker's first picture.

As this issue was first encountered about 2 years ago, are there any development updates on this?

Hey @RodrigoMFitbit any updates on this? Just looking to get total mm:ss duration on my runs instead of rounded times.

Very much appreciate that workaround @djbucko2009 ! I just want that time displayed in the run stats 😔. But at least I can find it now!
