My Fitbit Charge 3 (linked to my phone Android App) used to accurately record the distance of my runs with the route showing on the Google map. Now the distances being recorded can be 10%, 20% or up to 30% out (and usually more) for a similar route (whilst still showing correctly on Google Maps). My husband's Garmin Sport is generally accurate to within 100m over a route he commonly does of 6.7km. Doing an identical route with with husband today my distance was 15% more than his.
Can anyone advise then what might be going on here. It is quite disheartening not being able to see the real distance I have travelled or my real pace of my runs.
Many thanks.

Hello @PurpleHeather ,
Do you use your charge 3 in GPS connected mode or exclusively via step counter?

Welcome to the Community, @PurpleHeather.
Thanks for the details about your run. I understand where your frustration is coming from. Is this happening only when you track your runs with your phone's GPS? If the distance tracked by your Charge 3 doesn't match with the one that you see on the map, it could be that at some point your Fitbit device is losing connection with your phone's GPS.
Your Charge 3 connects with your phone's GPS to track your exercise and show a map. During your activity, your Charge 3 might lose connection and reconnect again with the GPS, but it's still tracking your distance. So when you sync your exercise, the map might not match with the distance tracked by your device. On this help article: How do I use GPS on my Fitbit device? you can see what can affect the connectivity with GPS.
If your Charge 3 is not tracking your distance accurately without the GPS function also, I recommend you to restart it as instructed here.
Hope this helps.

I have the same issue with Charge 4, see my post here:

It is a software bug... but no developer has a look on it.
