Hello,
I've had a fitbit since 2011 and this is the first time I have had an absolute crash of the device. For almost a month the fitibit app had totally messed up my phone, killing the battery and causing the phone to freeze. I remove the app the phone works as usual. Reinstall the app same problems. For a few days the fitbit app actually would sync, not anymore. My statistics are all wrong, my sleep is all wrong and now again I cannot sync with the app. All I get is device not found. I'm done and will begin looking for a replacement. I have a fitbit one and only want a clip on tracker as I love my jewelry and my watch and find a fitbit unattractive but a very useful device so please any suggestions for a wireless clip on tracker would be wonderful.

The Inspire (not HR) is the only current Fitbit with a clip (which sells separately).
However it sounds to me that your issues are with the app rather than the tracker. I'm not sure buying a new tracker will fix that.

I realize that Fitbit is trying to not encourage the use of Inspire HR with the clip holder you sell. I have read a few hours from many sources about this. However, I need to use the clip 98 percent of the time and when I am working out I need the HR features of the Inspire HR. Thus, the Inspire is not an option for me since you will not allow more than one device connected to the Fitbit iPhone app at a time.
I see on Amazon that many third parties have made clip holders for the Inspire/Inspire HR and advertise them for both.
It is really sad you downgraded your app by removing the ability to tell Inspire HR that you are using it in the clip holder.
My question is can it harm the Inspire HR to use it in one of these 3rd party clip holders and do I lose my accuracy now that the app can not be told that the Inspire HR is in the clip holder?

@ThaJeweler I have been told there is a slight difference in thickness that makes the Inspire HR not fit the clip holder as well, increasing the chance of it accidentally falling out. I can't judge third-party clips, and don't have the hardware to know how significant the difference is, but something to be aware of it use any clip.
The Inspire does allow turning off heart rate, which probably makes sense in clip to save battery.
As for the difference in accuracy without clip setting, I have no way of knowing but doubt it would be too much, maybe sensitivity of step detection. We often recommend users out any tracker in pocket when holding hand rails on treadmill or pushing baby carriage preventing step detection. It seems to me this would be similar, only for a much longer time period.
Just curious, do you currently have one, or just considering buying?

Hi JohnnyRow,
Thanks for your information on this subject.
I just began using my new Inspire HR yesterday. I have ordered a 3rd party clip that claims it works fine with each model from Amazon. When it arrives I will switch over to the clip and use it except when working out.
I hope I don't loose too much accuracy and I wish Fitbit cared more about providing us with the features that many of us want.
I loved the Fitbit one and would still be using it but the batteries no longer last, I have bought a few off eBay even new and the batteries are just too old for them to last as they did originally. And, of couse the price is crazy high because of the demand and lack of a reasonable source such as Fitbit. Why not update and improve a good tracker such as ONE rather than dropping it from the line and not really offering a fair replacement for the group of us that choose to use a clip holder for so many different reasons.
Thanks,
