I've got the phone in the title coming in the post and want to buy a Fitbit just after Christmas to use with it. I just wanted to check that my phone is compatible with the Fitbit before buying as it meets the minimum OS requirements but is not listed as one of the officially supported devices. Anyone else tried using this phone with a Fitbit?

Hi @David37  it's not so much the phone as it is the system and the bluetooth version. Did you see the list of compatible devices? click to see

here is something a moderator posted about phones being compatible:

"Please note that your phone or tablet is not on our list of compatible devices. We confirmed that the devices on this list are fully compatible with all features of Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app. While a phone or tablet may not be verified as fully compatible, the Fitbit app may still work with your device.

We routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models. Be sure to verify that your phone or tablet meets the minimum operating system requirements.

If your phone supports Bluetooth 4.0, we provide assistance and troubleshooting steps. Because your phone or tablet is not fully compatible with Fitbit devices, we can't guarantee syncing and other Fitbit features. "

Thank you for your reply. I have since learned that an iPod Touch 6th generation which I own is officially compatible with Fitbit, so even if I run into issues with my phone, I have that to fall back on. Am I to take it that a 7th generation iPod Touch will also very likely be fully compatible with Fitbit even though it is not on the list? The battery is no longer great on my 6th generation one and I'll likely upgrade in the next few months.

@David37  I would think so, but it's good your 6th generation works.

Hi, I recently got a Samsung a21s and thought finally, I can use my Fitbit again, as it was not compatible with my Huawei phone.

My phone can find my Charge HR, which gives the 4 digit code, I put the code into my phone and that's as far as I get. It says "connecting " and then " sorry, things are taking a little longer than expected." But it never finds it. I have repeated this numerous times, checked my settings, and now think, this phone obviously isn't compatible either.  😞

Please help. I want to use my Fitbit again.

Looks like you can't. I'm in the same boat with my fitbit. It seems to me that the FItBit developers need to create an app that works on ALL phone! It ridiculous that I cannot use my fitbit with my brand NEW phone!!!
