Samsung Galaxy J7 and the Charge 2

I just got the Charge 2 today, and downloaded the Fitbit App....it seems to be syncing with my phone, however my phone is not listed in the compatible phone list.  Everything seems to be fine, except I'm not getting call/text alerts on my Fitbit  Is there anything else that wont work since I'm not compatible, and also, will the J7 ever be compatible?

A very warm welcome to the Forums @JimmysMom.

At the moment there aren't much news about expanding the compatibility list to include any specific devices, but I can tell you that it is being looked into. Whenever we do have any updates we'll surely let everyone know. Please do know that we take all comments into consideration and are always looking for ways to improve.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to let me know.

I know this question has been asked before, but it has been a while....is the team still working on getting the Galaxy Charge 2 compatible with the Galaxy J7?  I would like all of the extra features if only they would work together.  All posts that I have read within the last year have answers to them stating there is a team working on it.  Thanks!

Hi there @JimmysMom, it been a while since your first visit, it's nice to see you again in the Fitbit Community! I'm sorry for the late response and I know there hasn't been many details on the compatibility of this phone.

So far there are no updates regarding the Galaxy J7. So far Fitbit is compatible with more than 200 of the most popular Android, iOS and Windows mobile devices. The full list of compatible devices with confirmed compatibility can be found at fitbit.com/devices.

If a device isn’t listed it doesn’t mean it won’t work with a Fitbit tracker or smartwatch. We routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit App, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models. A majority of Android phones running version 4.4 or higher will work with our products, however we cannot guarantee optimal performance on devices for which we have not tested and confirmed compatibility.

I have merged your post with your original question in order to maintain the readability of our Community.

See you around and stay tuned for more details.
