Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Compatibility Issues with Fitbit products

Hi: I've had my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 since April 2018, and had no issues syncing it with my Fitbit Charge HR. I purchased a Fitbit Charge 3 in November 2018, and it lasted about 2 days before it would stop syncing with my phone. The Note 8 has been out since the Fall of 2017, so it's technically an "old" phone at 18 months. I was in Mexico for 3 weeks, when the Charge 3 stopped syncing. I spent quite a bit of time with online Support Chats, and was finally told that Samsung Products are not compatible with Fitbit products. I returned my Charge 3 to Best Buy when I got back to Canada. According to the Fitbit website, the Note 8 and 9 is now supposed to be compatible. However, when I check the 25 features listed for the Charge 3, NONE of them are listed for either the Note 8 or Note 9 - it's a completely different set of features?!? Why aren't Samsung Devices given the same 25 features listed for the Charge 3???

@SunsetRunner A warm welcome to our Community! Sorry to hear that your Charge 3 isn't syncing with your phone. As you said your phone doesn't show as compatible but that doesn’t mean it won’t work it just means that it hasn’t been tested by our team. You can try going to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there. Restart your phone and restart your device. After this try syncing them. Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.

Let me know how it goes.

That didn't work for me.  I have tried everything and I am at a loss.  I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 8.  I have a Fitbit Flex.  Do you have any other ideas?  I have unpaired with everything, made sure I have the most updated app on my phone, batteries fully charged, rebooted the phone after turning on/off bluetooth and removing all paired devices.  I have tried pretty much every solution that I have found on the internet and nothing works.
