Screen won't turn on when write rotates

Normally when I turn my wrist to look at my fit bit screen, the screen would light up. Now it doesn't 😞 so when I want to see what time it is I have to push the button on the side. Super annoying. How do I fix it?

Might help to know which model, but:

 

hold in left side button a few seconds;  look for 'Screen Wake'; tap to toggle on or off.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
