My Charge 3 is not pairing with my Pixel 4.  Is there any way to keep using my Fitbit?

I reinstalled my Charge 3 as if it was a new device and it worked! My Pixel 4 and Charge 3 are now connected.

Are you able to get messages and texts?

I'm not!  And that was one of my favorite features!  Permissions are turned on but nothing happens when I get a call or text.

I'm having a similar issue in that moved off of an iPhone and purchased a Pixel 4 XL.  I always received call and text notifications on my Inspire HR with my iPhone, but since moving to my Pixel it only sometimes works.  For instance, I will reset the phone and for a few hours text and call notifications will vibrate on my fitbit.  After a few hours it just stops until I reset my phone again.  This has been beyond frustrating as I am so accustomed to the notifications that, if it is not working, I fail to know to look for texts - very displeasing to my iPhone entrusting wife and family.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Fitbit App,

I have reset my Fitbit while on the charging cradle,

I have changed all notification settings,

I have enabled, disabled, enabled notifications on my Fitbit,

I have forgotten and re-paired my Fitbit with my Pixel.

I have ensured Do Not Disturb is off when testing.

The fact that it sometimes works is far worse then never working at all, truth be told.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Austin.

I am having the same issue with HR Inspire.  I am unable to have the google pixel 4 phone communicate.  It is a new phone.  I switched from iPhone.  I went through restarting the app twice and reloading the watch as though new each time.  Very frustrating.

Hi Kimster1 -

It might be something different if it never communicates.  Mine communicates flawlessly for a few hours and just stops.  It is only until I restart my Pixel 4 that it again starts working for a few hours.  I have been going back and forth with Google regarding this and after jumping through all of their hoops they have said that they will replace the phone - I assume the think that the Bluetooth chip might be bad.  I'm still of the opinion that it is an OS issue, but the fact that not many people have reported such an issue, maybe it is specific to my phone.  Now I just have to figure out what to do as they will not ship me a new one until the receive the old one and they said the entire process could take 10 business days - which is a ridiculous customer service policy.

For your issue, have you:

1. Restarted the Fitbit - you have to do it while it is on the charger

2. Uninstalled/reinstalled the Fitbit app on your phone?

3. Ensured that notifications are enabled for the messaging app within the fitbit app?

4. Granted the proper access for the fitbit app to be about to reference the necessary information?  This is generally asked when you install the app?

5. Ensured that the notifications are enabled within your Fitbit Inspire?  Hold the button for a few seconds and scroll to the bottom and verify that it is turned on.

6. Done a full restore on your Pixel?  Make sure that you have backed it up before you do.  It is actually a pretty easy process.

Good luck and please let us know how it goes for you!

Before you do anything drastic, reinstal your Charge 3 as if it was a new device. It worked for me.
