Setup difficulties with Redmi note 7 pro

To whom it may concern,

After researching how to connect my Android phone via the app to the smart watch, unsuccessfully I may add. I've come to the stark realisation that you may not have the support nor have you been able to test it.

I would really appreciate some guidance otherwise I feel I'll have to return the smart. Watch.

Many thanks,

Hi @Raji609. Welcome on board!

Thanks for letting me know that you're having issues to set up your Fitbit. Currently your Redmi note 7 Pro isn't part of our compatible devices list, meaning that the Fitbit app hasn't been optimized to work with this model. This might be the reason of this matter and while we cannot guarantee that it'll always work, we can give a try to the following steps:

  1. Remove any device from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Turn off other Bluetooth connections nearby. This is just for this process.
  3. On your phone's settings, tap on Apps > Fitbit > Storage > Clear Cache.
  4. Go back one screen, tap on force stop and reboot your phone.
  5. Restart your Fitbit as described here.
  6. Try the set up process one more time and wait until the process is completed.

I'll be around, keep me posted.

Hey Lizzy,

I don't know what you guys have done but it appears that my phone and watch are now connected via BT. So, whatever you did, keep doing it!!!

Unfortunately I have another issue. I'm not able to activate the notifications. Please see attached.

Needless to say I have rebooted the phone, turned it off and on... Still no joy. Perhaps if one of your programmers could look into this issue, that would be marvelous.

Many thanks.

That's fantastic! I'm glad that your Fitbit and phone are connected correctly. About your other inquiry, first of all I appreciate the screenshot provided and for trying some steps to troubleshoot this situation. Let me inform you that our team is aware of this message preventing you from receiving notifications and they're working to bring a solution. Currently I don't have a time frame for the fix, but your feedback will be passed along so they can take your comments into consideration. Also, make sure to keep the Fitbit app up-to-date on your phone.

Hey Lizzy,

Unfortunately we're back to square one. My phone is not recognising the Versa 2. Please see attached.

As much as I love the watch I'm losing the will to live. Can you please make this a priority otherwise I'll have to return it with my sister in law when she returns to Australia.

If the app works on all Android OS and Bluetooth is universal, then I can't honestly understand why I can not pair my phone regardless of its make.
