I suppose there was an update. The app presents sleep data differently. Have others noticed this?
I miss seeing how long episodes of awake, light, REM and deep sleep are
Moderator edit: Subject for clarity.
Hello @LilJoJoGirl
The change to the Sleep data is part of the Fitbit redesign that started rolling out last year. I doubt that Fitbit will change the display back to the previous version or something similar.
This 9to5 Google article (<-- click link) provides more information about Fitbit's future.

If you look there should be dots for every category, that reflects the benchmark or the typical range for people like you. As with everything else, it was easier to read on the old sleep format
That's an interesting article, thank you. Looks like it's just baby steps, so I'm interested to see what's next

It's terrible! They literally took away all the features I look at for sleep. I can't see The Times that I woke up so I can figure out what things are waking me up at night. You can No longer scroll through each nights stats and see how they compare and look for patterns that stand out. And why yellow, purple, and black? Blue and red were just great! You can no longer turn your phone sideways to expand The sleep info, Or tap any the parts to see how long they lasted. It's no longer interactive. They totally went backwards. They did not improve! ☹️
Explaining why they made it worse and took away most of the functionality, does not make it OK. I don't need an explanation. I need the ability to Access all the information I used to be able to access and now can't.
I'm with you on that one!
AMEN!!!!!! 😠
I respect everyone's opinions, But evidently you weren't using all of the sleep features that most of us seemed to be. They're GONE! The data, the views, and the functionality that I have used, and sounds like many others did also, are no longer there. We probably all focus on different aspects of the app and the stats that are important to us. The details of the sleep app was by far the most important thing that I used this for. So frustration is very valid. If they can't return that funcfinality , fitbit no longer works for me. No intent to be unkind in any way. It just is what it is, and it is very frustrating.
Made an account just to say I cancelled my subscription over this garbage design change.
This change is a classic "Product manager takes over new area and needs to make his mark to feel important in the company and add bullet points to his Powerpoint". Unnecessary, untested and unwanted
I really dislike this new graph. Beyond just not being pleasing to the eye, it doesn't expand like the old one. I get less information from this new "improvement ". Very disappointed in Fitbit. Change for the sake of change is never good.
Yep! Already planning my swap. my Fitbit has completely Disappointed me lately. Not only just the new layouts suck, but it only records half of my sleep half of the time.
The Sleep graphics update is AWFUL. It is hard to read, no longer gives slerp stage percentages and is, in general, USELESS. What we had previously was far better. If it ain't broke then why "fix" it. Please return Sleep Stages to what you had before. My husband and I are both considering leaving FitBit for another competitor.
