I suppose there was an update. The app presents sleep data differently.  Have others noticed this?

I miss seeing how long episodes of awake, light, REM and deep sleep are

Hello @Cjgav

To see the start and stop times for each stage, touch and hold on the sleep graph until a line appears. The text above the sleep graph will change to show the sleep stage with start and stop times. See picture below.

I just noticed that there's a new update in the Play Store.  Having been burnt by what had to be a stealth update feature that bypassed manual updates (I hadn't updated the app but suddenly one morning I was horrified to witness what had been installed without my having given permission that totally screwed up the sleep function) I'm more than skeptical about installing any update to this app until I've seen comments from others over a few days to make sure that I haven't been suckered again.

Let me try it, and I'll let you know.

I do not see a new update, i only see this one....

Because I set all updates to manual due to the Sept 23 disaster I check updates daily.  Earlier today it wasn't there.  Having just checked at a bit after 7:00 PM EST it's there with the detail indicating bug fixes and performance improvements.  As I said, trust is less than zero for anything the Fitbit development brain trust is distributing.

Yea, I reverted back.... this "update" was ...well.... you know what i mean

Best Answer

Oh, you reverted back.  I've been considering doing the same given the arrogant intransigence of Google's developers.  Likely that's the only way to make this truly useful again although I'm concerned that they might start blocking access to data for anything other than one of the disastrous 4.x revs.  Keep in mind the app is useless unless it can connect with the mother ship.

What a load of rubbish the new sleep monitoring bit of the app is. Totally unreadable and the benchmarks/averages don't make sense and are unreadable.

Didn't you test with users? I can't see anyone liking the new look as this thread shows.

Awful, awful, awful. Revert to the previous version PDQ or I'll be getting rid of my Fitbit. That's how bad we're talking.

Why did they change the sleep tracker?? It’s awful!! 😡

I used to brag about how much easier than other devices my Sleep Tracker was to monitor. I am finding the new Sleep Tracker is much LESS user friendly. Please either switch it back or give us the option to do so. Can't brag anymore. Theirs is better now.

Agreed

change it back!

For all users who are unhappy with the new sleep data user interface, please vote to bring the old one back!

I want the GOOD sleep data charts back! You took it away and we tried the new one.  DID NOT LIKE IT AT ALL.  😕  You teased us by giving us the old one back for a few days, then took it away again. The new one stinks. PLEASE restore the old one.

Can't comment on that one?
