I suppose there was an update. The app presents sleep data differently. Have others noticed this?
I miss seeing how long episodes of awake, light, REM and deep sleep are

AND I do NOT want google watch (as a substitute for my Fitbit)!!!
That watch is BIG in size.
Plus the battery life is short (soooo inferior to fitbit).
Also can it track and display my sleep data — the way Fitbit had?!

indication from them, no courtesy to us, that they tally all the complaints
and concerns and send them upstairs to the decision makers. So, we can't
know that we've been "heard".

80% ?
50% ?
30% ?
Does it still track and display Deep Sleep and RAM — similar to the way as in the previous version ?
Unfortunately, many of us lost the previous sleep tracking capability after uploading this “new” disastrous update.
I did this update on my iPhone and when I realized that sleep tracking/display was gone, I quickly remove my Fitbit app on iPhone AND IMMEDIATELY checked it on my iPad whether it was still preserved — and it was! I was very lucky!
HOWEVER… I cannot use my iPhone for this… and I would like to regain the capability on my iPhone.
Hence all my questions above…

visually impaired, or can't read the color scheme or ??
It's not just vitriol of the design, it's loss of data and the ability to
interpretate the date for people who take it to their doctors.
There's more dissatisfaction apparently than just the design for some.

I like the way Fitbit used to present the sleep data better. It was a lot easier to see your results.

The Fitbit app has really declined in quality. I started using my Fitbit again yesterday to track my sleep, but when I checked the sleep metrics, it showed barely any information—no sleep score, and no individual breakdowns of REM, deep sleep, light sleep, or awake time. The app used to have detailed pages and graphs for each of these metrics, but now it's all crammed onto one page. Thinking this might be a premium feature, I paid for the premium version, but it was exactly the same. I strongly recommend bringing back the older version with more detailed information, instead of offering less.

If you don't like the software then it's easy to revert, we were using v3.90, all old versions are easy to find if you look. Posted this before but petty admin pulled it, as I suspect they will this post!
No matter though as both our Charge 4's have recently gone in the bin having failed after just over 2 years.
No more Fitbit for us, now using Xiaomi Band 9's, only around €40 and and just as good if not better.

I have been a Fitbit premium user for 5+ years and was about to buy a new Fitbit until they ruined the most important feature for me: the sleep tracking, data presentation, and ability to interact with the graphs. I needed the see my hours in each stage right on top of benchmark as well. It used to be helpful to show to docs and correlate with exercise and activity levels and stressors, etc. I waited several months to see if they’d correct the update but they haven’t. I have a polar sense to wear for HR and HRV tracking. It doesn’t track sleep though, so I was still using my Fitbit. Since Google-Fitbit downgraded the sleep graphing, Fitbit is now less useful than my more accurate Polar Sense armband. So now I can quit my premium membership and save that money. My wrist will get to see sunshine again.
Also—they downgraded heart rate graphs. They’re also less useful.

Your Fitbit lasted 2 years?? Wow, I've had 4 and the most I've gotten has been 6mo - 10mo. Last one, Charge 6, quit working after the last update in July. Work great the day before.
I like the design of the Charge 5/6 series. I don't want a mini-ipod strapped to my wrist. Like going back to stopping on a Sony Walkman when running.
I do believe they could expand their design more by using the devices band to hold additional batteries on one side and additional sensors on the other. That would keep the platform manageable.

I am so disgusted with changes Google has made to Fitbit but changing the sleep data graphs is the end of my Fitbit.
My family is changing to Samsung phones. Would never support Google's strategy of destroying fitbit app by buying anything Google. 😡😡😡😡😡

Your link to the article cured my headache. "detailed insights from your sleep timeline"
I've been very frustrated that I could no longer see exact times of sleep stages! I wish that I had found this info months ago! So simple, yet so well hidden in plain sight. MANY THANKS

Here we go again, an update takes away useful and vital information that we use. Any useable sleep data (REM, deep sleep, light sleep, awake times) has been removed. I suppose they’ve moved it to the premium side in an effort to get us to pay for it. Typical Google. The length of time of sleep isn’t helpful without looking at the quality of that sleep. Thanks for ruining yet another feature.

That said, one night last week I got the light/deep/REM breakdown. Every other night it is the useless time asleep distinction, then offers the advice to try wearing the fitbit to bed,

The other night, according to my husband I fell asleep almost right away and in the morning when he tried to wake me up I was in such a deep sleep I wouldn't wake up, so he let me sleep in, since it was a weekend. I went to sleep roughly around midnight and did not wake up until 10:00 am. Most sleep I've had in years. Yet when I checked my Fitbit it told me I had only slept for 48 minutes and had no deep sleep at all. This is the hugest problem with the app, inaccuracy.
